My life as an artist began while I was a seaman aboard the C.S.S Hudson (Canadian Survey Ship) between the years 1977 and 1978.I learned,through practice and some skills from The Nova Scotia College of Art and Design how to paint realistically.This invited portraits of fishing boats and other challenges from nature or puns such as The Highered Hand ,raised on a farm , The Holey Sock and The Blue Nose.
